Before we decided where we were going to go, we stopped back by Dave's for supplies. Since were planning to go to Secrets, we grabbed a few things. While at David's the Nene came to visit. I went out to play National Geographic Photog and get some wild life shots. I stopped at the garden by the gate first...

Kind of fun trying to sneak up on wildlife. The guys could see this happening and had Neal come out to shoot me getting attacked. But the Nene stayed back and left me alone. I was expecting it too. I was ready to cover my eyes and ears as the alpha goose approached cautiously to see what I was about. No charge, but posturing...Awesome looking bird!

After the initial rounds, we choose to hike down to Secrets and walk down to 2nd and 3rd beach since 1st beach was large...2nd beach was tiny . There were some board surfers at 3rd beach and figured it was better down there. I found a perch on these rocks with a great view of the action. The guys decided it wasn't what it looked like from afar and we headed back. Nice walk. The sands had shifted and covered what used to be a tough, boulder hopping trail to a sandy stroll.

We ended up surfing the shore break of the "un-named" location we surfed yesterday. Ran into Mike Lewis, a HSBA member. It was quite crowded, but Mike and I had a spot in the middle that no one was at. Good fun again. Probably my favorite spot. The bottom 6 thumbnails are from the shore break we rode. No shots of us cause, again, I was in the water too! Time flew by and we had to leave to get ready to come home...

So, another fun trip to the Garden Isle done and time to go back to reality of home and work. Looking forward to next year. Hopefully I'll be able to go. I'll be going to California in November 2007 so it might not happen for me. We'll see. Big Island trip is definitely happening in February 2007. I missed last years trip and can't go 2 years in row...
