Ben Mercier's Post Pyramid Rock Contest Party, March 24, 2007...

I got there first as usual and met the band "Round & Round". The lead singer decided to go get some waves first and left. I took a few shots until Kenji showed up and wanted to use my camera...I enjoyed the time NOT being behind the camera and just socializing.

HSBA President, Al Balderama's comments:

Ben's pa'ina was good fun. The live music group Round
and Round was really good. I got there a little late
and caught a few of their last songs before they
packed up their instruments. All kinds of good food
and wonderful people from HSBA and Ben's frat college
buddies and their families. I went with my wife Chonga
and daughter Cathy. We had a great time. Greg took
some photos and hope to see them soon. Young gun
Kanealii caught the bus all the way from Makakilo to
be at this HSBA pa'ina. He is one stoked young
bodysurfer and a bright star in our association. Steve
Kapela and his two bros Todd and Kai and all their
family members were present at this event. I got to go
sleep now, I had too much fun.

We have two new HSBA members that signed up at the
pa'ina: Kane Bangay, (Hawaiian Bodysurfers Union) & Mike
Nelm (Water Boyz). E komo mai to those two.
