Josh Tyler's Dinner Party on February 2,
2008...
The 3rd year Josh has rented the Pipeline house to
watch the Pipeline Bodysurfing Classic. We're all still waiting for the contest
to go. Meanwhile, a great get together for bodysurfing friends and family. Great
time with great people! Ono grinds and oh yeah, did I say great people!

Aloha Greg,
Mahalo for posting your pics so early this morning.
Man was that a great fun kine party. The people were
just wonderful. It was so nice to see old friends and
meet new ones. The Santa Cruz gang was so gracious to
invite all the bodysurfing ohana that gathered on the
north shore for the Classic. Too bad it has been
canceled again on super bowl Sunday. Time and waves
are dwindling away. The French gang arrived after you
and Eileen left who brought Rodrigo Soares with them.
Rodrigo S was a little salty at his Brazilian bros for
leaving him behind. It was kinda cute to see Rodrigo S
mad at his bros and praising the Frenchmen and women.
Mahalo to Rodrigo Soares for sharing his Brazilian
Triple Crown of bodysurfing video with HSBA.
I was so happy to see Josh, Robert & Linda, Tom &
Paige and her daughter, Kevin, and big wave wahine
charger Judith Sheridan. Clyde looked about 30lbs
lighter from the last time I seen him. It always a
pleasure to see Noni from the Big Isle. The Brazilians
and French are so fun to party with. Mahalo to
Bastione from France for their BS Club t-shirt. I love
it.
The view from that house has got to be the best. It
was like a big screen live surf movie looking out the
window of the living room straight on view of Pipe and
Off-the-Wall. It can't be any better view for watching
Pipe except being in the line-up.
And the food was so onolisious! I think there were
several world class chefs cooking all the food. Steve
with his Ahi, Robert with his teri-BBQ-chicken, Tom
with his baby-back ribs, Kevin with his salads, Neal
with his Korean kalbi ribs, Noni with all her
wonderful pies and the many side dishes people brought
to the pa'ina. I was stuffed until I could eat no
more.
The drinks flowed until the early morning with all
kinds of variety, but thank God Capt Rich (Ben's
co-worker and new HSBA member) didn't bring any
Absense from Spain. That stuff made all who drank that
stuff turn into lunatics at the last party at Capt.
Ben's house.
The UFC live was on just before dinner and some of us
fans had a blast watching some great MMA action. After
that we watched some bodysurfing videos by Tom Lynch
of Pipe & Wedge and a short video by Ross Haines of
Point Panic.
I had a great time again at this classic beach house
party. Everyone there were just wonderful and good
company and stories about bodysurfing from all. All
great people there last night and I can't wait to
party with them again.
Taking two aspirins last night before sleeping really
help me having a mild hangover. Mahalo for my
designated driver HSBA Treasurer Neal Morisato for
bringing me home safely, you da man.
A hui hou
Al
PS: Still one more day for the Monster Energy Pro and
a day for the Classic. Very dim conditions, oh well
mai-tai party!!!
